Our commitment to organic farming began with the cultivation of green fodder, which laid the foundation for our sustainable journey. This initial step was soon followed by the acquisition of two native cow breeds, Kangeyam and Kankrej. These cows played a crucial role, as their dung and urine became essential components for enhancing soil fertility and providing the daily nutrients needed for organic cultivation. Additionally, they significantly supported our Vermicompost production process. Thanks to the contributions of these native “Desi-humped Cows,” our organic farming practices took firm root, and today we are proudly and deeply engaged in organic agriculture.
Our farm, located over 1.5 km from civilization, is securely distanced from pollution, nestled between mountains to the west and north, uninhabited land to the east, and a valley overlooking Deenatty Village to the south.
In our first years, we focused on establishing key infrastructure: a well for irrigation, protective fencing, a concrete cow-shed, a ramped walkway, 1,000 sqm of polyhouses for controlled strawberry cultivation, servant quarters, a packroom for sorting harvested produce, and a vermicompost center.
Our organic journey began with green fodder cultivation, followed by the arrival of two native cows—Kangeyam and Kankrej breeds—whose cow dung and urine supported vermicompost production. With these “Desi-humped Cows,” our organic farming took root.
The green waste and brown waste from the farm that comes from about a 50 odd Silver Oak trees are collected and mixed appropriately with Cow-dung to decompose to become a bio-composed organic matter. The Organic matter is then fed into a pit where the earthworms are released which starts eating and digesting the Organic matter into a Vermicompost. Vermicompost is a nutrient-rich (basic nutrients like Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosporous required for Cultivation) Organic amendment that is produced when earthworms break down organic matter in a process called vermicomposting. The process involves using various types of worms, such as red wigglers and white worms, to decompose vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and vermicast. The worms’ excrement, or vermicompost, is rich in humus and other nutrients.
We convert home-kitchen waste, green and brown waste, and weeds into bio-compost and vermi-compost, enriching the soil sustainably. Additionally, home waste is processed through a bio-digester and FOG separator to produce treated water, which is then directed to a soaking pit for eco-friendly water management.
Berimans LLP, founded on 26th October 2021, is passionately dedicated to crafting premium organic strawberry spread. Our story began with S. Krishnan, a Chartered Accountant with over 32 years of expertise in finance and management, and his wife, R.K. Lakshmi, an accomplished M.Com graduate, sharing a vision of bringing healthy, organic produce to the market.
In the financial year 2021-22, we planted our first 2,500 organic strawberry saplings, yielding a bountiful 1.2 tonnes of fresh strawberries. Encouraged by this success, we expanded our cultivation to 8,000 saplings this year, with a goal to reach an annual production of 10 tonnes within the next five years.
Our mission is simple yet impactful: to provide safe, nutritious organic products, especially for children. By focusing on organic farming and producing high-quality strawberry spread and dehydrated strawberries, we strive to make a positive difference in our community. Join us on our journey to bring the best of nature’s sweetness to your table.

What Makes Berimans Special?
In Berimans, we believe, if at all, we are just facilitating Nature, Sun and Mother Earth to go about their job, naturally. When we watch Mother Earth do their job, we are humbled to realise our place in this earth and ever be grateful to Nature in our Organic Journey.
We, in Berimans, shall not claim credit by saying we are Cultivating anything as it is the Nature and Mother Earth who are going about performing their duty and we are merely good spectators by not interfering with their natural processes in any way but supplement them with natural manures and natural ingredients that enriches the soil.

The Certification is provided by Tamil Nadu Organic Certification Department (TNOCD), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu after a due annual process as well as a surprise inspection of the soil which is unannounced. The farm underwent such an uninformed Soil Testing check during 2023 which was made known to the farm when the soil-test report was shared by the TNOCD.

Today, almost every food product that we buy and consume are adulterated in every possible form beginning from growing and storing and adding preservatives for its shelf-life and so the best way to begin with is to star with those items that you consume in the normal course of the day, Vegetables and Fruits, for our essential daily nutritional requirements.
These include those vegetables like Carrots, Potatoes, Cabbage, Cauliflower …
These include those Fruits like Apples, Oranges, Mangoes, Strawberries ….
Of course, it would be wise to move to the other consumables like the rice, wheat, pulses, daal …as early as we could to lead a healthy life.

Organically grown vegetables and fruits contain more nutrients and anti-oxidants for the human being and hence the preference of Organic over non-Organic.
